Trade fair and food: our restaurant guide
We admit: Keeping our feet still is not necessarily one of our strenghts. One of the beautiful aspects of our work in trade fair construction is, that we get around a lot. Getting out, meeting customers, set up trade fair stands on site: This is how many of our working days look like. And then we´ll just go back to the hotel and wait for the next morning? Certainly not. Every prisma planer is by now a competent restaurant-guide. These are our best tips for you.
Hamburg: diversified metropolis on the Elbe riverYou don´t have to be a native of Hamburg, to love the metropolis on the Elbe and Alster. Cindy Meier, our trainee for eventmanagement, likes to use her breaks to relax near the trade fair. Her tip: The park "Planten un Bloemen" located at the Marseiller street. Here you can grab a variety of tasty streetfood. It´s much rougher, harder and louder at the "Hardrock Cafe´", located at bridge 5 near the landing stages of St. Pauli. Our project managers and fitters swear by it. Special beverages with an amazing view of the harbour are served at the skyline-Bar "20up" in the hotel "Empire Riverside". Highly recommended!
Nuremberg: much more than just the christmas marketOf course the city has much more to offer than the world famous christmas market. Excellent trade fairs for example. And the pizzeria "La Commedia", by the way the first one in town with a wood-fired oven. Our project managers and fitters rave: "The best and biggest pizza, we ever ate." Those who prefer traditional home cooking to Italian cuisine should follow the advice of our project manager Jörg Beister-Kumpmann: At the "Barfüßer" they offer delicious food and home-brewed beer. Another reason to visit the location: the stylish furnishings and lovingly compiled curiosities invite to marvel and smile.
Munich: rips for the after hour When he spends the night in the Bavarian capital, our project manager Georgios Roussos regularly looks forward to his dinner in the restaurant "Rusticana". Steaks and rips have been roasted here on open fire behind the bar since 1970. In the opinion of our architect and gourmet, even the best in town. Therefore his "hot" advice: "Be sure to reserve in advance".
Stuttgart: Caribbean flair on the NeckarEven on the Neckar you can feel like being in the Caribbean in no time. We, the prismaplaners, know how. Our advice: In Filderstadt there is the "Cafe´ del Sol" in a quiet location with the best food and beverages. Plus: It´s just a few
minutes´ walk to the fair hotel.
Berlin: service on both sides of the streetThe federal capital must not be missing in our restaurant-guide. Wolfgang Stracke from our companies sales department prefers the restaurant "Tiergartenquelle" at Bachstreet. Here they serve home-cooked food and home-brewed beer. And our sales- and marketing employee provides the fun fact right away. "The beer garden is opposite on the other side of the street. The service is carried out accordingly via the pedestrian traffic lights."
Barcelona: burger with the certain something
Our trainee Cindy Meier strongly recommends a visit to the restaurant "El Club de la Hamburguesa" in the Catalan capital. Unusual burger compositions, served in a modern industrial-chic atmosphere: Whoever likes this mix is absolutely right here. Her recommendation: The "Hamburguesa El Club" with bacon, cheddar, fried egg, fried onions and grilled eggplant. With its large selection of fancy drinks, the list of beverages also leaves nothing to be desired.
